Richmond Fan, Kitchen Remodel | Jun 2012 | The original kitchen in the space was dated and dark. We removed all the walls to open the space to the adjoining art gallery. We had to incorporate elements of the existing architecture into the new design to avoid the costly task of moving mechanicals while creating a space that felt like it could live side by side seamlessly with great works of art. | $10k | Richmond, VA
Midlothian, VA Bathroom Renovation | Jun 2010 | After a flood destroyed their master bath, this couple decided it was the perfect excuse to get the master suite of their dreams. The renovation included re-designing the entire second floor to borrow space from an existing bedroom, a poorly utilized master closet and a dysfunctional laundry room. The result was a new laundry room with floor to ceiling cabinetry, pocket doors to conceal the washer and dryer, a pull out folding table that tucked away into a drawer when not in use. The couple also got a new Brooks Brothers style dressing room with every inch of space utilized. And of course the master bathroom, with his and hers vanities, a seated makeup table, a huge shower with seating and body jets, and a large soaking tub. Special features include Tuscan styled painted and glazed cabinetry, decorative painted details on the vaulted arch above the tub and on the valance above the makeup area, delicate crystal glass light fixtures and marble niches. | $100k | Midlothian, VA
Midlothian VA Kitchen New Construction | Jun 2008 | Our client came to us with a plan from their architect that just wasn't functional and didn't suit their needs. We re-configured the entire first floor space to include everything from the couple's wish list: a walk-in pantry, 2 islands, a wolf dual-fual range, beverage center, Miele built in coffee maker, Sharp Microwave drawer, Sub-Zero refrigerator, 2 Bosch dishwashers, and a raised concrete bar perfect for entertaining. | $90k | Midlothian, VA
Mechanicsville, VA Kitchen Addition | Jun 2006 | This 2 story addition to an 18th century farmhouse was years in the making. The goal was to make the space feel as though it belonged to the original home yet have all the function and conveniences of today. We also needed to make sure this chef's kitchen had ample storage for food stuffs, a baking center, prep zones for multiples cooks and a place for the kids to spread out with homework. Not to mention 6 easily accessible recycling bins neatly tucked away out of sight. The space boasts: a hidden coffee center/breakfast bar, Wolf dual fuel range, double wolf ovens, an integrated Sub Zero refrigerator, a walk in pantry, a butler's pantry (the size of which was designed around a beautiful old antique buffet that was a favorite of the homeowner), a "command center", leather finish granite countertops, wood countertop in the "chopping" zone, and carrera marble slab backsplash. | $200k | Mechanicsville, VA |
