Art Gallery Security

Oct 2016

Security is Key - Especially for Small Businesses who have a lot to lose. That is why we were called into a large Art Gallery with 2 entrances and 3 Gallery Spaces (over 4500sqft). The building is a renovated factory and the inside is all painted cinderblock and steel columns. Not exactly the best building for hundreds of feet of cable back to a central system. We were able to set up a 4 Channel Camera system that is totally wireless (except power of course) that covered the two larger galleries and both entrances. The cameras included all the features a business would need, remote access, motion activated recording, realtime streaming, and night vision. Using our expertise in wireless systems saved this client a ton and gave the Gallery the security it needed for a price they could afford.

Apartment Lighting Solution

Jun 2016

This was a fun job - We installed smart lighting in every space of a 2brm apartment. This included a Control Hub, 6 Cree Connected Bulbs, 2 LifX Bulbs, and a Motion Sensor. Once the system was installed and linked with the hub; our pro installers configured the system to turn lights on and off based on the presence of the tenant's phone on Wifi. Also specific times for the lights to come on and off, even setting the lighting to the perfect brightness for the customer. Lastly the LifX bulbs were configured and attached to Amazon's Echo speaker, which allowed the user to control the color of the entertainment lighting with his voice. A couple months after the install we got a very nice email from the client - his electrical bill was down to $30 a month.

Smart Home Wifi Upgrade

May 2015

Wifi is part of our everyday lives now. When your Wifi has problems; so do you. This project was to create an affordable solution to a home with Wifi deadzones and leave room for expansion into home automation in the future. The twist was the home was built using older materials that wreak havoc on signal strength. The project required us to not cut into walls or pull wire but still provide a solution that would resolve the issues, as well as keep cost under control. Oh and we helped them cut the cord with cable and also added an Apple TV to their home theatre set up. Equipment cost was about $280 with 3.5 hours of labor. Including taxes the total was only $465.
