California’s energy code requires that a third party, certified HERS rater perform verification on several aspects of a home’s construction. Incentive programs offered by PG&E, SoCal Gas, SDG&E, DWP and other utility providers also require that a HERS rater perform special inspections before qualifying a home. MECH: Mechanical drawings are technical drawings that are drawn to scale and show information about heating, ventilating, and air conditioning. They are used as a tool to give detailed information, analyze complex systems, and drawn for construction projects (especially for all HVAC work). The Building Industry Show (BIS) of Southern California is almost here. The BIS Show will be held on November 9, 2016 and November 10, 2016 at the Riverside Convention Center. The building trade show attracts a number of builders, general contractors, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and other industry related businesses from Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura Counties. The BIS Show provides networking opportunities, current industry issues and discussions, product information and educational opportunities. This is one custom home of many that DuctTesters verified in a high end private gated community in Thousand Oaks, CA area. DuctTesters conducted the California Building Standards Code (Title 24, California Codes Regulations) HERS Verification. The testings included items such as: IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) Mechanical Ventilation Testing, Minimum Airflow Testing, Verified SEER, Verified EER, Fan Efficacy Watts/CFM, Duct Sealing, QII, Refrigerant Charge, Hot Water System Verification, and more. Our team of certified raters conducted tests and submitted the proper official documentations in the HERS Provider database that is required for all third party verifications.
