Heaton definitely gets a lot of negative reviews and there's no doubt that the scheduling/rescheduling should not make Lowes very happy. However, the two men (Trey and Trey) the sent from Fayetteville to install our bathroom light fixture were particularly nice young men who did a very good job.

Poor craftsmanship. They were contracted through Lowes to remove and replace my back door in November 2020. The screws for the hinges were stripped during installation causing the door to sag. With it still under warranty I called to have them come back out and they gave me a date more than a month out. In that time the door has gotten far worse and Heaton Construction has no sense of urgency, even when the the door itself is now damaged. For $1,600 I shouldn't be concerned my back door won't secure or may completely pull out of the frame. Stay away from Heaton Construction and anyone else Lowes contracts out to the lowest bidder.

Heaton did an installation of a built in oven which we purchased from Lowes. They damaged our cabinet. To try and hide the damage they raised the oven with boards. They left the job with the boards exposed promising to return in a day or two with trim to cover the ugly gap. Now they refuse to come back, saying we ordered the wrong oven (which they came out and pre measured for) Shame on Bradley for such a shoddy installation.

This review is in reference to Heaton Construction, not Lowes. I went to Lowes to get a shower door installed. I have a fiberglass shower stall that is 3ft wide & 64in tall. They did not have one in stock that would fit and we needed to custom order one through Arizona. No problem. Order was placed around June 16th. Lowes made it super easy to order. Lowes quoted me $1500 with install. Door took awhile to be made due to Covid. They installed in August. After 48hrs I could use the shower, during my shower I notice the weep holes for drainage were at the top of the shower track. I checked the bottom track and there were no holes there, so at that point I thought it must be installed incorrectly. I called Heaton & spoke to Kaylee. She was able to have another crew at my house that day to check out the problem. When the second crew arrived, they determined that the tracks were installed upside down. Heaton had to order a whole new track to replace this one. At first a whole new door was ordered but Heaton later found out they were able to just order the track. The door came in first & Heaton wanted to wait till the track came in. It was being shipped directly to my house, but no one could get a tracking number for this package. I explained to Kaylee I was not waiting any longer and that they just needed to go to Loews & get the track out of the box that was sitting up there for a week. She said no problem & I had another appointment for reinstall. This was in late Sept. The team came back and reinstalled the door. It looked a little better than the first crew so I was hoping all would be good. I had to wait to use it just like I waited the first time. I took a shower, and the door was leaking. I called Heaton, explained the situation to Kaylee and she had the crew come back out yet again to fix the door. They installed another type of sweep and sure enough it was still leaking. At this point I reached my limit of patience with this company. I called Lowes Install and spoke to Jennifer- who at this point recognized my voice. She requested we have the Lowes Regional Manager (Allister) and Heaton Construction Regional Manager (Dan) come out and look at door. I was ok with this. They both came out and tried to make adjustments, but nothing was working. Allister stated they would investigate ordering another type of door because they were both convinced it was the door and not the install. I, however, was not convinced and called Arizona myself. I spoke to a master installer and he walked me through the steps, and I found many things that were off with this install. I called several shower door companies in area and no one would touch this problem. I do not blame them. Allister then stated he could not find another custom door but did find one that was 6in higher than my shower and that more tiles would need to be installed. Absolutely not. At this point I did not want Heaton painting my trash can. Allister and I agreed that there was nothing more Lowes could do (other than order a whole new door,) and I asked for my money back. Allister worked super hard to try to find a solution for me, but in the end Heaton was to blame. I hired another company to come out. During my consult, he pointed out everything they did wrong. It seemed like a super easy fix to someone who actually knows how to install shower doors. I wanted to try to fix it myself but at this point it was lost cause. There was silicon EVERYWHERE. Frames were crooked or not even. This was not something I could do myself. They blamed the walls being out of plumb, which is 100% normal in most houses. They do not know how to make the proper adjustments to the frame to compensate for the walls being out of plumb. Do not hire Heaton Construction to do anything in your home. Every Lowes in Wilmington, Hampstead, and Jacksonville use this company for their installs. I will never purchase another install project from Lowes if Heaton is the one who installs it. Thank you to everyone at Lowes who tried to help me and make this right. In the end it is Heaton Constructions fault.
