We selected Andrew Schmidt/Diamond Flooring and Remodeling to do a large renovation on a home we just purchased. The project was to demo and put in new cabinets, countertops, flooring throughout the entire house. Overall, our experience was pretty awful. Andrew disappeared randomly halfway through the demo for several weeks and came back saying that he had medical issues (not sure why he couldn't send a simple text during that time). Our contract was for 60 days and he finally stopped showing up for good after 120 days which is when the project was "majority" complete. He said our Master Bathroom shower glass would be installed a week after that and had already been ordered, etc. He disappeared again. He stopped returning my text messages. After a month of living in the house and not being able to use the master shower and after a dozen calls and messages to Andrew with no response I finally contacted a glass company myself to get glass installed. We have half finished cabinets with missing doors/shelves we cannot use, in addition we have a few quality issues (a plug not working, a recessed light not working, some trim missing, etc.). Andrew said his work was guaranteed for a year - we can't get him to finish let alone come back to fix any issues. Do not use this company. Also, he is currently rated as an F by the Better Business Bureau and it looks like one of the complaints on there had him disappearing and returning saying that he was out of the country, but at the time he was still in the US working with us - so it also appears he is lying about what is going on when he disappears.
