One of a Kind Basement

Jan 2013

Unfinished basement transformed into a multi -use for the whole family. Our designer created an elegant and functional house within the house for the client. The floor plan as well all all the cabinet designs were created by our designer. Many existing bearing walls had to be removed and replaced by steel beams in order to execute the plan. The flooring is engineered Walnut glued down and sanded and finished in place. The trim features our signature Arts and Crafts style treatment, which creates an informal and relaxed look and feel for a basement. Many of the doors are custom designed and built with obscure glass. There is a bedroom, suite room attached to the bedroom, a master bath and common bath, full kitchen, great room, craft room, gym, office and media room. The craft room features kid proof cabinetry with an ingenious pullout table to work on, courtesy of our talented designer. The media room features an remote control movie screen that raised up to allow access to the cabinet behind it where the DVDs are stored. This unique feature is courtesy of our clients, both of whom are engineers and came up with this idea which we helped them execute. The cabinets feature many species of wood and a variety of finishes including, stain, glaze over stain and multi -layered. The Cherry cabinets in the suite room and the White Oak cabinets in the office feature solid wood counter tops of that species. They were built and finished at our cabinet shop The clients love their new space and it's great potential

Urban Loft

Jan 2011

Transformed existing loft space into an exciting living space featuring more wonderful design work by our very talented designer. The loft features two new bathrooms including a master bath and common bath. We removed the outdated and unusable circular stairs and replaced it with a grand staircase constructed from reclaimed pine beams and a horizontal contemporary handrail. The master bathroom is a combination of mosaic tile, reclaimed wood beams and frame-less glass. As always the cabinetry is built and finished by us in our shop.

Tuxedo Park Master Bathroom Remodel

Jan 2011

Complete master bathroom remodel featuring Honey Onyx tile Custom Cherry Cabinetry built by contractor Custom shower Frameless glass door and panel White Namibian marble countertop Onyx vessel sinks Blue concrete countertops We stripped the existing bathroom down to the studs and reworked everything to get the results shown in the photos. The floor was 2 inches out of level and we had to creatively bring it back to level. It features a beautiful deign by our award winning designer. The Cherry custom cabinetry was handcrafted stained and finished at our cabinet shop. It features soft close hinges and drawer slides. The cabinetry was built around an antique Korean chest. All of the tile is Honey Onyx including the mosaic tile on the backsplashes. We do all of our showers using the Schulter waterproofing system, which is far superior to cementious tile backer board or obsolete rubber shower pan membranes that hold water and cause mold problems. It also features a beautiful cherry entry door with water glass panels.
