My name is James Liburdi and I am the proud owner of The Patch Boys of Central & North Austin. I am proud to call Austin my home as like many of you I am constantly always finding something to do whether it be attending a new festival, trying a new restaurant, or simply relaxing at one of our fine lakes during the summer. However, what I enjoy the most is the friendly camaraderie shared between the people of this great city. The reason I started a Patch Boys Franchise was I saw a need in the market for a contractor who specifically works on minor drywall repairs and installs. I spoke with local residents who told me countless times that contractors would refuse to take the job because the damage was to insignificant or they would demand to take on more work then the customer required thus costing additional money. We take on jobs of all sizes and always let the customer determine how much of the work they want us to perform which provides flexibility with their time and budget.

Patch Boys, David McElya, scheduled us and emailed a contract about a month out to do drywall repair work in our laundry room for June 3rd at 9am. The day of June 3rd I get voice message at 8:56am from his worker Antonio saying he will be an hour late. Then an hour and a half later I called Antonio back and asked for an ETA. He told me he was lost and could not find our home? I asked if he was using google maps, he said no he does not have a smart phone? I guess that was a bit shocking to know a guy who works for this company has no ideal where he is going. How does he find any locations he is supposed to go to I asked myself? You would think perhaps the company would have printed a map or directions for him, Antonio, in advance since it was a month before to get to a customers home. I then called the owner, David McElya, and he said his guy has a flip phone that probably did not have maps on it but he did not know why he was lost? I told David his guy Antonio was not professional by not being on time and not knowing where he was going. Because his guy did not show up on time that we could reschedule for another time. I have not heard back from Mr. McElya to reschedule, so I guess they do not want to honor their contract they made. I would not recommend this company because they do not stick to their scheduling and apparently hire incompetent workers that cannot even find their way where they are going for a job. They seem ill prepared. Our home is not hard to find. Pulls up on any mapping application or $20 GPS system.
