I strongly advise against hiring Blaker Restorations & Remodeling. My experience with them was riddled with lies, broken promises, and a complete disregard for contractual obligations. In May 2023, I signed a contract for siding and window replacement, paying a substantial deposit of over $35,000. The project was supposed to be finished by June, but Alex, the owner, repeatedly delayed the work, falsely blaming the window manufacturer, Pella. After months of excuses, I contacted Pella directly and discovered that Alex had never even placed an order for the windows! When confronted, he partially refunded my deposit but then stalled on returning the remaining balance. I was forced to file a small claims lawsuit to recoup my money. After a lengthy process and mediation, I'm finally set to receive the rest of my deposit, well over a year after the project was supposed to be completed.

Alex is by far the least professional, most dishonest contractor I have worked with in the last 30 years. He is financially irresponsible and doesn't pay his subcontractors. The one thing you can be sure to get from him regularly are excuses. At first I was surprised that there were not more negative reviews here, but then I was contacted by his lawyer who said that Alex would only agree to return my $35,876.50 deposit if I agreed to a non-disparagement clause. I have to wonder how many "missing" reviews there are for that very reason. Now I'm forced to sue him for breach of contract to recover what he still owes me. Windows and Siding - Alex took a $37K deposit and two months later had still not placed an order for the windows, all while lying and blaming delays on Pella. Bath/bed remodel Confidently assured project completion in two weeks. Took six instead with entire weeks of no one showing up on site. Subcontractors still haven't been paid and he's not returning their calls.

Unhappy - I have requested a quote for fencing on a home in Hutto from this contractor and after nearly 2 weeks have received NOTHING in response. Clearly they are not interested in my business.
