Owner, Steve Walker, has been in the home building business for 24 years and has built over 400 homes in North and South Carolina. We encourage our clients to bring in personal scrapbooks filled with photos, articles, advertisements, and copies of home plans to our initial meeting. We use these materials, and information to generate a floor plan for you, before moving on to selections. Selections: Once we have a floor plan in place, and any "tweaking" that may need to be done is complete, it's time to move on to making your home's selections. Items such as plumbing fixtures, tile, flooring, lighting, hardware, moldings, and cabinetry are decided up front with our designers in our design studio. This process takes anywhere from two to three days, once complete we incorporate your selections into a design package for pricing and contracting. Pricing: We aim to do all we can to meet your personalized budget during the pricing process, often "value engineering" as we go, and using our expertise to offer you lower cost alternatives if necessary. Our method of pricing is based off of historical costs and quantity take off. We do NOT "square foot" a price for your home. Construction & Orientation The fine details have all been ironed out and now it's time to build! Depending upon finishes, the construction process can take anywhere from 5-8 months. We are with you every step of the way with our superintendents inspecting your home on a daily basis. During the process our control supervisor performs eight separate quality control inspections, as well Skyetec Environmental performing two moisture intrusion inspections. Upon completion Steve personally walks you through your new home to orient you to its many features. You are presented with own personal warranty book, the keys to your castle, and a 10-year limited warranty and mold free guarantee from the Bonded Builders Warranty Group. Our dedication doesn't end with the closing process.
