I would give a negative if I could. I ordered flooring and carpet from Lowes. They contract with Marc’s. The day of carpet install 2 installers came and could barely speak English. This was a rehab rental. I went through house with them and assumed they were qualified. NO. My contractor went by and they were drunk and ruined the carpet. Seams every where. Carpet pieces. Called Marc’s and they never answer their phone. Finally got a mgr to come look at the project and he agreed it was awful. He said he would reorder carpet and make this a priority. It’s been a month. No calls from Marc’s. Lowes says carpet arrived last week. I called and left 5 messages today. I am beyond furious. Do not use Marc’s or Lowes. Lowes is not help and isn’t helping at all. They do not stand behind the companies they contract with. I am 2 months now behind renting this house. Everything else is done. Beware of this company. When I searched I saw many bad reviews. I wish I had known this before I used Lowes.

I so wish I had read these reviews earlier. My experience was almost exactly like Petey’s. Lowe’s set up my vinyl plank tile installation with Marc’s, who sent out a local contractor, James. He arrived on time, and all the needed materials had been delivered. The small area to be covered had been damaged by a washing machine leak and another company had removed the damaged materials several months earlier. They said our subfloors were fine, thank goodness, but James thought he’d need more underlayment to bring the new flooring even with the adjacent floors. He said he’d run up to our nearby Lowe’s to get some and come right back. He left about 9:30 a.m. and never returned. I left a message on his voicemail but never got a call back. I left a message with Marc’s but never got a call back. I went back to the store where I’d bought the flooring, and they had a note on my work order that said something about the subfloors. The employee gave me a different phone number for Marc’s, who told me James’ note said someone was at the house working on the subfloors when he got there so he couldn’t do the job. I was floored (sorry about the pun.). They wouldn’t believe me and wanted to send someone to inspect my subfloors before they re-scheduled the installation. My husband was coming home the next week after four months in the hospital, and I had wanted the floors done by then so he could get around safely and easily with his wheelchair and walker. I can’t express how painful it was to know the work would not be done in time because of what this man and this company had done. I canceled the project with them and had ServPro do it. They charged more, but at least they showed up.

DO NOT GO TO LOWES TO HAVE YOUR FLOORS INSTALLED! Lowe's sent Marcs flooring to our house to do our floors. They messed up all the trim, did not level the floors out (which we payed for material for them to do so). They left without finishing the job saying they would give us a call and come back to complete it. They never called. We went up to Lowe's 6 days straight until finally was directed to a manager to help us. A manager from Marc's flooring came out to look at what happened (never took any notes) was in an out under 5 minutes. We had to call Lowes again to see when they were coming to fix it. Lowe's said that we would have to pay extra for new trim that Marcs messed up. We asked for a refund for the labor they charged for putting up the trim and for the carpet order we had. We will be going to a professional local flooring company who actually care about the work they do. I would rate this as zero stars if I could. Poor customer service on both Lowe's and Marcs. I hope this review helps someone not make the same mistake we did. Some times its best to spend a little more locally to get the job done right and with care.

Marc's is subcontracted by Lowes and that is sad. Lowes is a standup company but Marc's does not fit the bill. The installers lie to you, they tell you one thing and then tell their office something totally different. Tom, the lead installer has absolutely no customer service skills. I had to cancel a $20K, flooring job to him but in the end it serves Marc's right because they refused to reel him in. Run away from this company.
