We met with Ken in November and December 2017 regarding a significant project we would be doing at our home. One so large it requires us to move out of the home. One of the things that was most important to me was to be able to count on promises are made. I emphasized I would prefer he under promise and over deliver, not the other way around. When we met with Ken in December, he said he would be able to start the work in January, after the holiday. Two weeks later we met with him again to sign the contract and then we were told he couldn’t start until March because he had taken on some other jobs in that two-week period. The change in the timing did not please us but we felt like Ken was going to be the best man for the job and the wait would be worth it. (Mistake). He started work in March and with only three weeks into the job, he stop showing up. Two weeks of no activity on the project we finally heard from him and he was abandoning the job. Even though we had a contract, he was not going to fulfill his obligations. You can’t imagine the stress this is put on us because we had moved out of the house for the project to be completed. Now we had to find a new contractor and wait several more months for the schedule to be available for the new contractor. We never received an apology or explanation . I would never recommend a man who cannot keep his word and has no regard for the consequences to others due to his irresponsibility.
