GW Remodeling

BEWARE, most of these reviews are their friends or family. They are a scam, fake, a fraud, criminals. First off they are not members of the BBB as they claim in their handout. They will tell you not to worry about a lien on your property cause all of their workers are employees, this is a lie, they have no employees except the sales people. All of their workers are all subcontractors, some unlicensed. I know of two subcontractors used on my home were not paid. One I have paid out of my pocket, the other one has contacted me and I am waiting for a lien notice. The quality of work is the worse, unacceptable to any homeowners standards. They grout in my two baths is falling out in handfuls, my toilet is 8 inches off center and not installed to the plumbing code. The two GFI outlets they install do not even work, the one outlet is less than an inch above the vanity top so water can enter the outlet. The list goes on and on, and this is after they attempted to fix the issues three times. Yes as one of the other reviews stated, Matt does spend more time on one of his three phones that he carries. He is the fastest talking flim-flam salesman I have ever seen, he is amped up on energy drinks all day, and god only knows what else. Now GW Const. claims I owe them $22,000, funny cause I have an invoice that states that my job is not just paid in full, but I have over a $3,000 credit. These fast talking guys will take advantage and rip you off. I you do decide to use GW Const., require a "performance bond" above and beyond the Contractor's Licensing Board required bond. Also make sure they pull permits for the job, make sure the permits cover the entire job, not just one part of the job. I am filing a complaint with the Contractor State Licensing Board, I am going after their insurance bond of $15,000, it will take more than the $15 grand to fix my house. The pictures that GW uses on their facebook page, Angie's list and others are photos they hijacked from other legit contractors. If you look into their operation, be sure to check for GW Remodeling, GW Construction and Repair, GW Management, they use several other names than GW, also NOLI Construction. They will tell you some guy named Gary M. owens the company, with 100 years of experience, if so I don't know experience in what, but I don't think there is a Gary M.. I would bet money that Gary M. is somewhere taking a dirt nap. I speak the truth, I just wanted my home updated so I could sell and make the highest profit, isn't going to happen now. I have pictures of my job, they would blow you away, feel free to contact me at gmac970 at yahoo dot com for an update on what the contractors board does to this company, oh and I am also turning some details over to the District Attorney for a review for possible criminal charges. Be careful on what they tell you, most likely they will not be in the San Diego area for very long, Matt and Michael spend all of their time in San Jose drumming up business for their new office location. Just go to their local San Diego office in Mission Valley. GW's office front is nice and high end in appearance. The truth is they rent a 10x10 closet space, what a joke. This entire company is a scam.
