DO NOT HIRE. I would give zero stars if I could. With the pandemic going on, we have been working from home and have NOT seen service performance on our home once. A few months ago, we agreed with Doug that a biweekly service would occur. After the first initial cleanup, we have not seen him or any of his employees. We thought it was odd that we never saw anyone, but we gave them the benefit of the doubt and figured they were doing the job we paid them for. After some time, the uncut grass, bushes, trees, and out of control weeds led to a suspicion. I had called 3 different services to come out and quote me and also give their honest opinion if they think work has been done. They all said NO work has been done for quite a while now. We received a bill for “services” that have been done as well as a $180 bill for 3 water leaks. I was told by the other yard services that I was way overcharged and taken advantage of. I reached out to Doug on 7/21 and he said he would come by and grab the check as well as check out what hasn’t been done and would call me afterwards and discuss what needs to be reimbursed. Out of good faith, I left the check outside for Doug, planning on being reimbursed or having the problem solved. Instead, the check was immediately cashed but did not hear a peep. I sent Doug a disappointed text on 7/22 because he was quick to cash the check but didn’t want to reach back out when he clearly stated he would get back to me after he came by. Finally heard back from Doug in the afternoon and I am very hurt and disappointed by the conversation. He was yelling at the top of his lungs without listening to a word I had to say. Even when he was done yelling, I would try to respond but he would yell over me again. I feel very taken advantage of because I am a young woman and don’t know much about yard services and or pricing. To be spoken to like that as well as having my money taken is very frustrating.

I will start by saying we had an exceptional lawn. Unfortunately, our regular guy moved, so we hired Mr. Thompson's crew within a week of losing our previous guy. We started our business relationship with Mr. Thompson on a bad foot when the crew did not show up the day he said they would. However, he said he would make it up to us if we gave them a chance. A couple of visits later, we voiced concerns about the bushes not being trimmed and the yard looking a bit sick. He said his crew would address both. Over the course of our business relationship with Mr. Thompson (appx 1-2 months), our lawn went from grass to weeds, full-scale weeds and no grass. We voiced concerns with Mr. Thompson about the condition of the lawn. In fact, we had to mention the 'weed yard' on a couple of occasions but still things were not addressed and it kept getting worse. Thereafter, we asked two different landscapers to come assess the yard to find out what could have happened. Both suggested that grass becomes weeds when a crew does not properly clean equipment. We addressed this with Mr. Thompson in a phone call, aling with asking for the address to send a dinal check and conclude our business. Mr. Thompson got incredibly abrasive and aggressive in the conversation, stating he didn't need customers like us. He then proceeded to hang up on us. We text him, again asking for the address to send a check, and noted to him that both adult members of the household are military veterans; we are good people and do under others as we hope to be treated. Truly no customer, military or otherwise, deserves such treatment. Mr. Thompson was no professional and did not handle this situation in any reputable manner.

I completely discourage others from using this service. Once owner gets your account, no longer interested in you and passes off work to his crew who is less than mediocre. After I declined to allow him put in winter grass or a new irrigation system when the current could be repaired, his team slacked off even more and killed off my lawn. Billing system is inept and sends invoices after you are up to date on your payments. Avoid this company.

We contacted several landscape companies to do some special landscaping for us and Doug Thompson had the best ideas to make our desert landscape perfect. The men that came to do the work were early, extremely professional and left with everything looking better than we imagined. We will be using them again and would recommend them to anyone. Thanks!!
