Marc Clemenceau Bailly As principal of Bailly & Bailly, Marc leads an array of architecture project types for residential, work place, retail, medical and institutional clients. For over fifteen years, he has been known for leading professional, talented, and diverse teams through the complex coordination issues of today's building environment. The successes of his projects rely on the high level of personal attention that he provides his clients and the project team throughout the design and construction phases of each project. Mr. Bailly has particular expertise in the design and detailing of luxury projects that stretch over the course of his career-- most recently he participated as a special consultant on a large family estate near New York City. Mr. Bailly values the importance of a unique identity for every new project. He strives to capture the emotional essence of each design opportunity and is guided by a strong commitment to the collaborative nature of his practice that involves many talented consultants, his staff, the client, and the natural resources of the project's location. An active member of the design community, Mr. Bailly has provided leadership in several capacities at the American Institute of Architects New York Chapter. From 2006-2012, he served as co-chair of the New Practices committee that was honored with an Award of Excellence for outstanding programs and exhibitions and in 2012 was named co-chair of the AIANY Design Awards. Having been widely featured in the press and major cultural institutions - most notably the Frac Center, the New York Times, Vogue, the Museum of Modern Art (NY), and the Art Institute of Chicago, Mr. Bailly brings to his new firm a broad view of contemporary architectural design. In addition to his expertise in luxury residential projects, he is well versed in a variety of project scenarios including fashion retail/ experiential design, work place/corporate, medical/office, and sacred/religious facilities. Firm History Bailly & Bailly was launched in Seattle in the fall of 2013, by Marc Clemenceau Bailly, who spent the previous fifteen years practicing architecture in New York City. After completing his internship at notable design firms, Mr. Bailly started his own firm in 2002, formed a partnership in 2003, and enjoyed over ten years of private practice in New York before moving back to his hometown, Seattle. He attended the University of Notre Dame where his love for art and architecture began while living and studying for a year in Rome. His work is recognized as being at the forefront of a generation of architects exploring aesthetic innovations enabled by the exploitation of advanced computational technologies.
