Brent Weidner Contractors

Brent and the company he was working with, Black Construction lied about permits, asked for money every week without finishing various jobs, and quit half way through. Granted it was my ignorance that allowed him to attain the money he did. However, he does a disservice to GC's everywhere. My family and i were completely taken advantage of. The job remains unfinished.

Brent Weinberg is not only does poor quality work that has to be redone, he is dishonest and irresponsible. Do not use him or his partner Patrick Daley who is also a crook. I would also like to add that using the Porch site for finding a professional is a bad idea. In their small print they say they will stand behind their posted professionals or they will make the situation right. They were written to and called twice with no follow up. Porch and Brent Weidner are of the same caliber! Terrible!!

We hired Black Construction for a pretty extensive remodel project. The subcontractors were Patrick Daley and Brent Weidner owner of Weidner construction. They essentially abandoned our job. After a long stretch of spotty attendance, 5 hour work days, naps or phone calls in his truck, and extended trips to Lowe's and Home Depot, Mr. Weidner and his crew disappeared for about a month. Once they returned, they worked about 6 days over a two week stretch. They then showed up once in 2 weeks at which point we requested a refund from Black Construction for incomplete work as well as repairs needed due to shoddy workmanship. To her credit, Katherine Black did in good faith negotiate and provide a reasonable refund. However, her subcontractors lied to us, took money for work never completed, and when pressed rushed and did a poor job. We are now left with a partially complete remodel and are having great difficulty locating a contractor that will pick up another company's work. Basically, this has been a nightmare.
