About Maid In The Northwest House Cleaning Service
Maid in the Northwest Inc has been cleaning houses, condos, apartments and small businesses in King, Pierce and Snohomish counties since 1987. We are a local woman owned company and not a large franchise. Company is licensed, bonded, insured and a comprehensive criminal background check is completed on all cleaners for our clients protection. In order to establish loyalty, commitment and trust with each client, we send in the same cleaner or team of two cleaners for all regular weekly or every other week cleaning. We also do one-time, move in and move out cleaning and can often do it with short notice. We bring in all our own equipment and supplies and send the client a checklist to fill out to give to their cleaner so the work is done according to the clients priorities. The office is open and phone is answered Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to schedule cleaning or resolve any issues that might come up. We have a senior discount that will be given when clients indicate they are 65 or older. The owner, manager and founder of Maid in the Northwest, being a cancer survivor herself, is very excited to be partnered with Cleaning For A Reason, a national non-profit that screens women who are receiving cancer treatment and refers them to us for FREE cleaning. Being a cancer survivor herself, the owner knows how important it is when battling this disease that you have a clean home to live in. We also provide at no charge, 30-40 gift certificates a year for community non-profit auctions. Here at Maid in the Northwest, we enjoy providing our community with the needed service of keeping our clients homes clean. Many of our clients have told us how wonderful it is to come home at the end of a long day at work to a home that smells fresh and is sparkly clean.

have never used a house (or in my case, a 975 square foot creek side condo) cleaning service before. But after coming home exhausted one day from working with one of my clients that I setup, review, trouble shoot, or train one-on-one in QuickBooks for their business and Quicken for their personal finances, I realized as a busy professional that I needed to delegate tasks that needed to be done but I didn't have the motivation to do well or the time to do so. I found it ironic that I was in this situation as I am frequently on my clients case about outsourcing their business tasks to others. One reason I picked Maid in the Northwest was they are a local (Wedgwood/Northeast Seattle business) and because they partner with Cleaning for a Reason which offers free cleanings on a space available basis for women with cancer. Since my cousin and one of my friends had Leukemia and mentioned how tired they were from the chemotherapy, I thought this was a nice way to give back to the community. The office sent Amy the next week and e-mailed me a contract and list to give to her with instructions to check off the top ten essential tasks. I liked that list as it allowed me to focus in on what I felt was important. Amy called the day before to remind me in a friendly tone of voice about our appointment and showed up on time the next morning. She worked quietly while she was here and asked questions when she wasn't sure what I meant on the list. She also complimented me on how well organized my space was. At the end, I could immediately smell and see the difference between what my bathrooms, kitchen, rugs, carpet, and cabinets looked like before and after including a brown rust stain in the master bathroom that had been seriously reduced. And the work was done in the time frame allocated. Several months later, I realized that I needed another cleaning as my condo board was coming over for a meeting and I could see and smell the need. That time, the company sent Bill who e-mailed me confirmation which I liked as I was in the field and could see it appear on my SmartPhone. Again, he showed up, asked for the list, and proceeded to get to work. At the end of three hours of the four allocated, he mentioned that he was done (and again, I could see and smell it) and suggested dusting some knick nacks that I had in several bookcases for the remaining hour. I hadn't picked dusting a priority this time but I am glad he noticed that the dust levels were now at a point that something needed to be done. Another cleaner, Danny noticed that my cabinets needed cleaning and proceeded to take care of them since he had a couple of minutes left. Needless to say, I look forward to my monthly or every other month cleanings.
