Mid-Century Makeover | Sep 2015 | This 1952 mid-century classic had most of its original charm, with only a few updates completed in 1970's. Structurally, the house was in great shape, but needed updates to the plumbing and electrical systems. Aesthetically, we wanted to maintain key architectural elements of the design, but make the space more functional and contemporary in design. With a $90,000 budget we updated the plumbing and electrical service, replaced carpeting with wide-plank hardwood flooring, painted the home throughout, gutted and redesigned the kitchen, remodeled both bathrooms, updated all interior and exterior lighting fixtures, insulated and dry-walled the oversized garage and laid in a new stone fire pit area in the backyard. The project took 11 weeks to complete and we came in on budget. We oversaw all aspects of space planning, materials sourcing/procurement and design & construction. | $90k | Seattle, WA
Viewmont Renovation | Nov 2014 | This petite castle in the Magnolia area of Seattle was sorely in need of help when we took on the project. The home suffered from water intrusion, structural weaknesses, plumbing and electrical issues, lack of storage, and had been vacant for almost 2 years. We tackled it all and transformed the house into a luxurious, contemporary home with elements of Old World charm. Key areas of improvement included a new roof, reconstructed upper deck and kitchen extension, new ceiling joists and Para-lam beam in the kitchen/dining area, strengthened sub-floor, new kitchen cabinets and appliances, 3 new bathrooms, plumbing and most of the electrical, refinished hardwood floors, new slate and porcelain tile flooring, all new light fixtures, doors and hardware, several windows, paint, carpeting and landscape updates. See for yourself. | $200k | Seattle, WA
Summer Cottage Renovation | Sep 2012 | When "the kids" took ownership of this 1970's family summer cottage, it was time for a few lifestyle updates. With a view toward maximizing the outdoor living spaces and modernizing the existing furnishings, we set out to evolve this incredible and remote island retreat into a summer get-away for generations to come. Key updates included 2 new decks (one with seating), a new outer staircase, new solar power system, exterior and interior painting, 2-story stacked stone fireplace, laminate kitchen and bathroom flooring, several new energy-efficient light fixtures, new bedding, window treatments and sofa as well as decorative accessories for the entire cottage. | $100k | Seattle, WA
Wedgwood Staging Project | Oct 2015 | This home was recently renovated and put on the market. I collaborated with Judy Delen of Delen Staging and Design to stage the house for sale. | Seattle, WA
View Ridge Expansion | Sep 2015 | The owners of this 1940's View Ridge home loved the neighborhood, but needed more space for their growing family. After a lengthy search, they opted instead to expand their existing footprint by approximately 2,000 SF. Considered Space was brought in to consult on space planning, materials sourcing, paint colors, lighting design and flooring selection. And while the project hasn't yet been fully completed, we couldn't wait to show you phase one of the transformation! | Seattle, WA
