Specialty build | Mar 2013 | The homeowners, a young pastoral family, entertained large groups of 20 several times each week and they needed a space that was not only functional but reflected their love for 1950's Ranch Style with a modern twist. By creating clean rectangular lines we achieved a desired contemporary feel to the traditional ranch style. The homeowners can now accommodate all of their guests with comfort without jeopardizing the efficiency of the kitchen area. We took outdated design elements such as natural wood ceilings and stone fireplace and transformed a kitchen, living room, and dining area into a bright and open great room. | $97k | Signal Hill, CA
Swanson Kitchen Remodel | Jan 2013 | This 1950's ranch style home needed to accommodate large groups for a pastoral family. The owners wanted to keep the ranch style, yet add a modern twist to meet their needs for functionality. We took a dark and outdated kitchen, living room, and dining area and transformed it into a bright, family-friendly environment. We used modern elements to lighten the space and relocated windows and doors to maximize the client's visibility and interaction with guests. This new open floor plan boasts space for guests to feel involved while creating a barrier for meal preparation in the kitchen work area. | $97k | Signal Hill, CA
Cantrell Bathroom | Jan 2012 | This contemporary master bathroom remodel is in Long Beech, CA. We opened the space up by removing the walls between what once was a closet and the existing bathroom space. The homeowner wanted a spa like retreat with a deep whirlpool bathtub. We created a "hidden" nook area for the bathtub for added privacy when bathing. We used a decorative mosaic glass tile along the backsplashes, recessed area near the tub, and borders in the shower and tub area. We carried the arches throughout the bathroom to match the architectural features of the rest of the home. A double sink vanity with caountertop linen cabinets define his and her sink areas. We installed a separate makeup vanity with tall linen cabinet for towel and toiletry storage. The countertops are a natural granite stone with square edge. | Long Beach, CA

Gaines Kitchen | Jan 2008 | This traditional kitchen remodel is located in Long Beach, CA. The homeowners wanted to keep the existing exposed brick so we tied it in to the new design. We used natural stained cherry wood cabinets, granite countertops, and a diagonal pattern tile backsplash with focal point over the cooktop. The vent hood is hidden into a custom designed cabinet with decorative molding and corbels. The island overhang can accommodate stools for extra seating for eating and entertaining. | Long Beach, CA
