I'm sorry you feel this way. If what you stated is true then take me to court and get your money back. You CAN'T! BECAUSE IT'S A LIE. I have audio of your voice and your husbands voice where I gave you the difference for the slate that I half did for free. I paid you the difference back in cash and recorded the transaction verbally on my phone to prove it. And just so you know, slander can whind YOU up in court! I have proof that everything you say is not true and I will be taking this matter to an attorney for your false defamation of character. Backfired, didn't this? After the flooring and painting job was completed, you all of a sudden made plans to leave town. This was after we had a set schedule from start to finish. You knew we wouldn't have time to finish the slate in time and that seemed like part of your devious plan. You made excuse after excuse on why you didn't want to pay us for the work completed before skipping town. You also stated you would be back in a day or two, and then changed your story that you had no idea when you would be back. Then you also said you may not go at all and then turned around and said that you were definitely going. TOOOO MANY RED FLAGS. We were hired to do wood floors (completed), scrape the popcorn ceilings and paint (completed), and slate (half done for FREE). The wood floors I have pictures of, plus baseboards that were not part of the bid that we did for FREE to keep you happy. The paint bid was to scrape ceiling and paint....you wanted no texture done. Without texture you will sometimes see imperfections in the ceiling. You paid $500 for over 450 sq. ft. of ceiling. NO CONTRACTOR will even touch your ceiling for that price. But then you wanted a $2000 ceiling job for $500 and started getting rude and attacking me verbally when I told you that you did not pay to have us texture it. You paid me for the work done after I did all of the free work, flooring, fee baseboards, free texture, paint, half the slate, and paid you the $300 (full cost of slate) difference since we didn't finish it before you left town for a week. (I HAVE ALL THE PICTURES AND RECORDINGS OF CONVERSATIONS TO CONFIRM). I have never dealt with a more rude and aggressive customer in my life who wanted so much work for free while holding our payment as ransom for it. You got most of it FOR FREE because I was sure if I didn't do it you would not pay me at all. You got baseboards, texture, and entryway half done with slate all for free. I was humble the whole time while you berated us. We worked overtime to get most all of it done before you left and you seemed to be irritated by that even. Like you didn't want us to finish before you left. Even after you got back I put my other customers on hold after YOU messed their schedules up with us. We put GOOD, NICE, HONEST PAYING customers on hold for someone as rude and inconsiderate as you are. You're a contractors worse nightmare. I usually wouldn't waste my time responding to you on here because it makes me look just as horrible as you. But sometimes people get tired of being taken advantage of!! If I lose Porch as a lead system, it will not affect my business because word of mouth is my biggest lead generator. It will only show how we always cater to the customer and devalue our own selves. I have more integrity built with in my company than most others out there. That's why I did a $2000 paint job for $500!!! But I won't ever let someone as dishonest as you dictate my own value. I was once told, "If you don't value your own time, why should any customer value it too?" My helpers wanted to leave the first day on the job because of your rude and arrogant attitude. Oh and racist? You are definitely the pot calling the kettle black! Got it? I am only writing this response because I have one of the best ratings in the DFW area with high end lead systems (PEOPLES VOICES), plus featured in several magazines. I have everything on recording, pictures, and even the original bid. I will use all my legal rights to get the rest of the money that is owed to me with the work you never paid for. You are the very reason why businesses like mine have good attorneys and contracts with legal services. I only hope Porch and its team leaders stand behind their contractors and the hard work they provide behind the Porch name. If the customer is always right and you are the voice of every customer....WE ARE ALL DOOMED! On a side note, Your husband is a great man and a very humble one.
