---PLEASE ENSURE YOU GET PRICING UP FRONT TO AVOID GETTING SCAMMED --- I had a technician come out yesterday to complete an estimate on my garage door repair. When I scheduled the inspection the customer service rep didn't mention any sort of fee. It wasn't until the technician arrived that I was told the fee was $179 just for coming out. Honestly shocked as i've had work done by professional HVAC and Plumbing techs in the past and the fee for an estimate was always announced before arrival, and much cheaper than $179. Since he was already out at my home I didn't want to make a big deal about it and paid him his fee. He spent 5 minutes getting an estimate and using a hammer to bang on my garage door railing in order to temporarily hold it in place... I decided to call today and see what would happen if I call from a different number and tried to schedule someone to come out for an estimate. I used an address two blocks away from my home. and described the same sort of damage that my real garage door has. The same technician who came out previously contacted me and said he would come by. When I asked him what the cost would be to come out, the price was $79, which is $100 less than I was charged yesterday. I feel like I got duped... This company has great reviews, but the vibe I got from them is pure shadiness. When they call, their name under caller ID is listed as "Advantage Locksmith", which makes me thing they do garage repair and locksmithing, in which case the business practices I witnessed make total sense...
