Fix Damaged Plastic Sheeting On Awning | Aug 2013 | Remove golden trim covering seams of damaged plastic section. Grind off rivets holding plastic section on awning framing. Unscrew all screws holding plastic section on to framing. Remove plastic section off awning framing. Scrap off all left over silicon located on awning framing where plastic section was removed. Grind off any rivets still connected to awning framing Install new plastic and cut to size. Screw new plastic section on to framing. Apply flash tape where awning meets with house, closing up gap.
