Banyan Living...This in regards to the Vanguard of Polaris. These reviews will continue to be posted EVERYWHERE until: 1. My husband and I have received a WRITTEN apology from Carmen (a manager???? Last time I checked, hanging up on residents and literally SHRIEKING about lies is not what managers are supposed to do) and Brianne (apparently new front desk staff) for the unprofessionalism and undue stress. 2. We are contacted by some at your corporate location at 55 Hilton Ave. Ste. 200, Garden City, New York, 11530, United States. We are going to discuss move out policy because staying in this environment is not conducive to either of our health and we are certainly not going to be paying to move after today. 3. We are contacted by Emily Truex at your regional location to set up new communication policies until we move because we will not be dealing with those women in the office anymore. This is the review: DO NOT MOVE HERE! TRUST ME! These people act like they are nice and kind when you sign up. That changes once you move. They make up lies about rent payments...literally claimed that we have paid late for 5 months. I have billing statements that say otherwise. Then when they don't receive it, they don't call or text or email or stop by...they just drop off an eviction notice. They claim that "it's not really an eviction notice...", but again, I would be happy to show that it very much is. BUT...don't worry. In the last month or so, we and the rest of our neighbors have gotten letters about "community beautification", specifically where are TRASH CANS located. Yep. When no one in the community cared to listen (because it's literally a non issue), they started threatening fines. The landscaping is garbage. The units are garbage. Security is NONEXISTENT. There was car break-ins (ours was one of them) about three months ago. Did they do anything? Nope. Actually, told us that WE COULD PAY TO PUT SOMETHING IN. Oh, and their claim of dog-friendly? We get passive aggressive threats almost every other month about how we are cleaning up after our dog. Well we have three dogs that we let out one at a time. Common sense, would dictate that it can be assumed that I pick up after them after they are ALL done. We have explained this to them numerous times. Yet, they still threaten us. I have said, go ahead and test the dog shit, because I pick up all the dog poop in our area, even when I know it's not mine. There was a couple days when it was spot on because I had THE FLU, while PREGNANT, and my husband was on shift (he is a firefighter). I wish I could say I was kidding. Our neighbors apparently had someone to break in to their home...and they are aware...and they haven't said anything to the complex. Some of the people that work in the office are awful human beings...clearly unable to apply logic to a situation. Enjoy your dead end jobs ladies! Carmen and Brianne are rude and disrespectful and instead of being professional, they hang up on you and then will threaten you with police action if you keep calling to get what you need or try to get a straight answer out of them. Oh, and just for the record, I am 19 weeks pregnant with a high risk pregnancy after losing our first one at 26 weeks pregnant. These people are vile. Corporate kiss asses. All I have to say is thank god we are moving in a month to a home. I have contacted corporate as well.
