I was recommended to Ibarra Floor Sanding 3 years ago. I received the quote which was by far the best one and used them to finish all the floors in my home. It's been three years and they still look great! People think I just had them done. Jesse's wife is very easy to work with and Jesse and crew were amazing.

I scheduled back in May for my floors to be sanded and stained by (Jesse) Ibarra's Floor Sanding during the month of July, specifically, July 19th. I spoke with Rose, the receptionist-scheduler of Jesse's appointments. I explained to her MANY times (we spoke often regarding stain color) that I just wanted them sanded and stained and would not be finicky about how they turned out...I just wanted them done. I even asked if Jesse needed to come over and check them out...she informed me that he was the best and they have never received complaints, he could do it! She did ask that I send photos of the floor once we got the carpet off. My family and I started taking EVERYTHING out of the living room, our bedroom, the hall and the dining room (I assure you, this was a large undertaking). On July 14th, I texted Rose the pictures of the flooring in the dining room and the living room once the carpet was removed and our bedroom on the 16th. Her response was that "Jesse is going to have to come see these floors. He'll have to come Saturday morning. I'll let you know what time but probably around 10am." Saturday morning was July 22nd--three days AFTER I am supposed to have my floors done! I informed her that I was confused because he was supposed to come that Wednesday. We spoke on the phone and she said she thought I was another Cathy, that we were still on for Wednesday. Fast forward to Wednesday...Jesse walks in, feels the floors in the living room, the bedroom and the hall. He tells my husband that he is unable to do the floors as they have some sort of adhesive and it will gum up his $6000 machine. My husband suggested a heavier grit of sand paper and Jesse informed him that if his machine gets gummed up, he is out of business for at least two days and will cost him hundreds to get fixed. He left. So now we have no furniture in our living room, dining room or bedroom...we were literally sleeping in the garage! I was fortunate to get recommendations from many of you so I called Remington Floors, Pristine Floors and KAG Carpentry and Hardwood Floors. Mike from Remington, Andrew from Pristine and Kraig from KAG all came within a day or two to check it out and give us quotes. The VERY first thing EVERY SINGLE ONE of them said it that Jesse underbid the job. Rose (from Ibarra's) quoted me around $900. Mike, Andrew and Kraig all said that it could be done and if they used a heavier grit sand paper it would not be a problem...and it just takes more time due to more sanding...and they all have $6000 machines. I contacted Rose after all the estimates were done and told her what each contractor said (underbidding, can be done) and she informed me that there was no way they would do a good job because of the adhesive. I told her I would be happy to send her the photos once they were completed! I also explained that moving forward, they really should change their practice of telling people that floors can be done without looking at them first. We decided to go with Kraig from KAG Carpentry and Hardwood Floors. He was double the price and we had to wait another three weeks but after seeing how long it took and what a great job he and his colleague did, I realized that Jesse way under bid the job. I am thrilled with the work Kraig and Joe did. If you need any carpentry, or flooring work done, do not hesitate to contact these guys! Kraig's number is 313-808-6829..
