Robert Benedict Professional Mover

Hired Robert Benedict to move antique table. Table damaged in shipping. Robert disappeared continued to lie through the process, will not answer phone calls and refuses to take responsibility. Fraud alert. Do not use. Not a reputable shipper.

Terrible experience overall. I needed antique furniture shipped from California to Alabama. The items had to be picked up within 2 weeks, however there was no urgency for delivery. I communicated all this to Robert both before accepting his quote on UShip and after. He assured me that this was not a problem. However 2 weeks later, the items were not picked up, and he said he would pick it up the week after. I had to call and beg the auction house to keep the items and pay an extra 25$ a day for storage, and they gave me another week. Robert said that he would definitely pick it up by the thursday of that week, however on thursday he cancelled my shipment! Without even the courtesy of a phone call or anything, even though I was in touch with him that week. And then he went MIA. He just cancelled through UShip and wouldnt take calls or answer emails. And I had 1 day left before I lost several thousands of dollars worth of furniture. So I had to then pay another company 3500$ to arrange pick up of those items and transport them to me, since it was so last minute. No quote was under 3400$, since it had to be done that day. And I was forced to pay that, instead of 1000$ which is usual for that kind of shipment only because of his unprofessionalism. I am still waiting for the shipment to arrive but the other shipper was so much more professional Robert Benedict was unpredictable and unprofessional and this was overall a terrible experience.
