Mid Century in Carrollton

Aug 2015

Taking a ranch style home and giving it a Mad Men design for a bachelor in Carrollton TX. The entire kitchen was removed. Extensive electrical updates gave the kitchen circuits for all the appliances and additional lighting. Plumbing was brought up to above code to prevent freezing pipes in the winter. The layout of the kitchen was changed for additional counter space. A 5'x8' panty built and the island cut down to accommodate a large granite bar. Dallas White granite for the counters and marble penny round back splash add the design. A Blanco Silgranite single well sink was placed in the island along with a Pekoe semi-pro faucet and soap dispenser from Pittman Plumbing. All new Kitchenaid appliances in stainless steel were installed in to custom cabinets built for the project. The cabinets are a full overlay design with finger pulls in stainless steel. Tile out trays and UV coated birch veneer interiors over 3/4" plywood boxes. The cabinets were painted in our own shop. A custom green vinyl sealer water based paint from Faux Effects was used for durability and beauty. beautiful glass lighting divides the kitchen from the dining room as well as lights the eating area. A media center was also built for the living room using the same cabinet and granite style. Custom stained maple panels give the mid century feel on the kitchen ceiling, dining room wall and behind the media center.
