Sir or Madam, It is my intent today to make you fully aware of the details surrounding work order # 614901181 claim #310241978 involving myself, Thomas Fairley & Quality Heat A/C, Plumbing & Rooter. Initially we noticed that the volume of hot water In our home had decreased in quantity and quality. So, we called First American to have it checked out. We were given appointment with Quality Heating A/C, and from the onset there were issues. The day of our appointment my wife took off work for several hours to allow time for the assessment. The appointment time came and we got no call, no communication. Long story short we kept getting calls, from the technician Chris, that he was 30 mins, hour, then a hour away, and then another client was before us etc. We reached out to the office and the lady who answered the phone ( who turns out to be related to the excessively tardy technician) became very belligerent because we value our time and didn't allot a entire day for what we were told woukd take a hour or 2, needless to say half a day was not enough. We asked for another technician if it were possible, and she got even nastier. Yelling hollering, and trying to deflect that they were not meeting the obligation they set. We contacted First American home warranty to check the possibility of just canceling this vendor's service and having a new contractor serve us. Well, First American informed us that they don't do that, whoever the initial contractor was is the only person they will assign to work order, all they could do is contact then on our behalf. We'll, obviously that made the receptionist/relative/ alleged co-owner/wife even madder based on the next phone call we got. I remained calm, bc the worst winter freeze in over a decade was on the horizon and we needed the hot water heater fixed. Finally Chris, the tech shows up, several hours late and unapologetic. But, we were glad he made it at all. He informs us that one of the 2 40 gal Units we had was bad, he had shut off both units, and then began trying to upsell us all kinds of products and services. He incessantly mentioned how he had certain chemicals that he used that could clean a whole a/c system out and save homeowners money on maintenance and repairs. He took a look at all our HVAC on his own, traced the system outside even -without invitation, since only thing in my attic was HVAC, ductwork and the hot water heaters. We didn't mind too much he was a business man trying to get more business..He had all kinds of things he could sell us, or he could perform, and explaining his competitive advantage over other contractors offering same services. Needless to say, it was about to freeze, my A/c was working fine and the heat as well. We declined. He then went on telling us about plumbing services too. We did have a toilet that had been clogged in one of the 5 bathrooms in our home, and he said he could get it if anybody could. At his guarantee, we asked the price and he said $95, deal! He unclogged the toilet perfectly, my toddler had flushed an small medicine bottle. He was even more confident now that we should see he could basically be the guy for anything we need at the house. I wasnt sure he was supposed to be so self agrandizing on these sevice calls, but oh well he was useful in the unclogging, just slightly irritating. And, at this point I was considering him for spring maintenance on my a/c units too. So he informs us before he leaves that he we could ignite the working water heater in an hour or so and just watch the usage, take it easy on water and not have multiple users at same time etc. A hour or 2 later we try re-igniting the pilot on the other heater that worked perfectly fine before he came, and it would not ignite for nothing after an hour. The electric pilot was fine before!! We called him and he did say the heater had been overworked and it may give out. The timing was ironic, but oh well better now than next month. So now we were down to no hot water at all in the house. He called several times over the next few days, it seemed odd because he was a vendor for 1st American and a long time plumber, so he should know how long approvals take, parts get shipped etc. But, it was as if he didn't. Later it became clear why he was calling(he didn't want us bringing another contractor or start a new claim for the sabotage he had done to my A/c unit!!!!) In the midst of this the winter freeze happened in Texas and the midwest, and we didnt have heat, hot water or power for about 10 days. it was cooler, milder than normal in early spring so we didn't have to use A/c and we have a gas fireplace downstairs . After the winter freeze we had an appointment that Monday,, we didn't hear a word from them and the office was closed- understandable somewhat, but as a business at least call those you scheduled to update us. Tuesday came still we had not heard from them and they were not open. Once again, you claim you are family owned - reach out to families to at least update us /reschedule. It was weds or Thurs before we heard from them, and Friday they made it to the house to swap out the water heaters. I PAID the extra $950ish that the warranty didn't cover . We don't do much heat unless it's extremely cold anyway. As it warmed up to normal Houston weather my family complained that downstairs was very uncomfortable. I was away from home at our home in florida by now working etc. I figured maybe it was freon low or something or that it wasn't a big deal. After some time the complaints didn't stop and I scheduled scheduled service call for the a/c. When the technician arrived, my 19 yr old son let him in and gave him the tour of the house and where to access attic, units etc. Immediately upon beginning his inspection, the technician says OMG you aren't believe this someone sabotaged your unit, what other contractor have you had in your home. My son whipped his camera out and began taking videos and pictures of the damage and the details this technician pointed out! Someone ( Chris from Quality Heat) Had cut and removed 4-5 ft of the 24v power cable to the unit, turned off the gas to unit, cut a piece of the gas line! This person knew what they were doing! My son and the technician call me.delivering the bad news, and immediately I knew it was the Qualiity Heat and a/c people. No one else had been to home to repair anything and no one goes in the attic..it's an attic dark, weird, creepy. Now it made sense on his insistence to let him service the a/c, his upsell tactics, and his multiple calls after he left the home(checking to see if his plain had foiled and making himsemf available when we would want to use him once we noticed unit wasn't working . This was a savage move by a person absent of conscious. This was vandalism, theft, destruction of property. I tried calling Chris my number was obviously blocked bc it went straight to voice-mail without ringing. I left him a message to call with just my name and number- no reason. He didn't call at at this time hasn't called. So I called his office, and told the first person what was the issue and I was angry- but calm, never cursed or yelled but firm thst it was wrong and obvious. The first lady gets the 2nd lady on the phone ( the same lady the was nasty before who yelled and screamed bc they were excessively late) . I tell her the issue and she immediately began yelling and got completely defensive on the guys behalf. She stated they were her relatives and she was co -owner and they wouldn't do this. She starts cursing at me calling me a lying *MF* a - s.o.b. Why I didn't call before now? She hung up in my face or put phone on hold , I called back several times to her screaming, yelling, so I screamed back, I don't curse, so I never cursed at her. She said she wa going call the police, I said I was also, and I am going to file charges . And, I will sue them if my losses aren't recouped and I woul have to iniate litigation against First American. But, I asked initially to have these schemers replaced and was denied. She also stated 1dt American had been called and they were backing them..How? I just told you what the issue was, how did you call while screaming and cursing at me? Also she said she asked the technicians? how? unless by text, she put me on hold for 2 seconds and said nope they didn't do it, maybe they were there sitting in her lap, I dunno. But who benefits from sabotaging my A/c ? Me? not me, last time I paid almost $1k to have a service completed through the home warranty, so it wasnt me. The new technician had just gotten to the home, though he could benefit- the problem pre-existed which is why he was there. Only one person could have done this and had the potential to benefit! Quality A/c who tried selling A/c services- be mindful he looked all through our units when he was there, he suggested all kinds of stuff, but our a/c was working that day, and if it was that obvious he would have saw it bc he was poking around uninvited. Savage maneuver! soulless cowards, thieves, quasi-capitalistic manipulators.

needed a simple PVC repair done from a shower drain, P-Trap and vent. A very, very simple fix for any run of the mill Plumbing company. It has taken this company over one month to get the parts needed to fix issue. This is the only plumbing company in the history or time that doesn't have PVC piping a glue on hand! Lowes, Ace, Home Depot, Wal-Mart etc has the parts for a total of $12.00, I offered to go buy the parts if they would install it. They refused and pushed back the repairs a week. So if you can wait at least a month for a simple fix this is the company for you! If you have a Home Warranty and this company is assigned go ahead and prepare for a few things. Request a change of plumbing company or go ahead and send the BBB a complaint or find a new home warranty company.

Hot Water Heater through home warranty company. Took two weeks, I was charged for parts they did not use, told me I had to pre-pay or they would not contact the warranty company. Apparently they do have email, they will not email a receipt or provide a permit they said they paid for. These guys are shady as hell!
