Hydron 3-ton Geo 12.5 yrs age. Energy exchanger rusted through on 410A refrigerant line. Ground loop 1600'(25% methanol/75% water) is in good shape. Enertech has modified energy exchanger to foam encasement from foam tape wrap in OEM. An attempt on 6/11/23 was made to refill 410A+sealant+UV tracer dye, but failed after 30-hrs. UV light showed bright yellow UV dye had oozed out of successive wraps of foam tape around energy exchanger. A small bright yellow crack showed up on tubing juncture at top of the compressor. Need an estimate for changing out & replacing with improved design energy exchanger.
