Our client wanted a small flagstone patio and a pad for his hot-tub. There wasn't much in the way, so we just dug out to our proper depth, added gravel, screed, and flagstone. The hot-tub pad is also gravel with the conduit going underneath the flagstone.

Our client already had a design drawn up, and wanted us to make it real. While her dream was to have a large waterfall cascading down her entire front lawn, the space just wouldn't allow such a grand feature. We opted for a smaller waterfall, that forks into two dry-creeks. She also wanted a small decorative path so she could set in s tiny bridge (not in these pictures) span the "creek".

While we did redo the entire backyard for this client, this project focuses on the waterfall we built. Originally apprehensive about it, she trusted our judgement and went ahead with adding this in to the design. She thought it was going to be a pre-formed unit. The hard black plastic "pond" style you drop into a hole. This is actually a fully custom waterfall, with components from Aquascape. It uses a 98-gallon basin, underlayment, and a pond liner. A fully recirculating pondless waterfall. We also added in an auto-fill valve, so the water is always full, and lights to give her a waterfall she can enjoy at night!

The front yard had a low spot from original construction that was never fixed by the home builder, or his sub-contractor. During wet weather, it rotted and killed the lawn. Our client had a vision for a water feature, but her budget would only allow a faux stream. Full removal of original sod, and several existing plants. We then shaped a berm and rocked in our stream. Followed by new plants that would look more native to our area. In the process we had to relocate some irrigation to account for the actual lawn area shrinking, and re-sodded with fescue. We also placed some additional boulders around the beds.
