Had my concrete driveway done by Leon(l.s. Construction). I paid $8,300. My sidewalk and driveway has high and low spots all over. it does slope to the road well but do to high and low spots we have water puddles everywhere so when we get out of the car it's right into a water puddles when it rains and the sidewalk is puddles too. He did take off $300 for the sidewalk because he even knew it was really bad job but only after he flew off the handle saying it's to f****** early for this bull****, walking back to his truck not working for 30 minutes while throwing a hissy fit in front of us. Instead of talking the issue out with us because hey it's not our fault you guys messed up the concrete we played no part in laying it just expect a good job for $8,300. The sidewalk cost $360 and he only took off $300 and it's extremely unleveled. He left my back yard all tore up from this bobcat, concrete in my yard, on the house, on my plants , on my old concrete part of sidewalk. we put $4,000 down for a deposit and when the time came for concrete truck to pour he randomly tells my husband you pay the guy... we of course said no because we didn't have $2,000 on us at the time(no checks) and we had already put $4,000 down to cover cost so it was his job to pay it not ours and you surely don't tell us last minute (hour before truck showed up). He asked my husband to return the compactor my husband refused because we aren't taking responsibility for a tool someone else rented , we aren't getting paid to work we HIRED you , and he had to go to work. He talked about how he had a huge party the night before.. maybe that's why he didn't show up till 11am most days when he finished the job he showed up with a 12 pack of beer for his workers. I drink but I find it VERY unprofessional to show up to a job site with beer and show them in front of your costumer when you still have to drive home. (I didn't see him drink it). It's only been a month and the edge of my concrete is already cracking off. They NEVER answer the phone, NEVER showed up on time other than when It was time to pick up my deposit money, lacking tools, lacking gas, always had to borrow stuff from us to do his job . He was NEVER prepared, Not even one time. He pretty much spent most of the time running to the store to buy stuff or asking to borrow stuff the whole time. they are nice as can be but run the business like we're friends and quality doesn't matter. I have concrete all over my house and he scratched my house/brick up with his bobcat or when removing my old concrete. I've reached out to him going on day 3 to fix my driveway do to these issues and still no response. I've called 3 different numbers , text him and still heard nothing back. They do have good marketing and good answering service but DONT BE FOOLED like we were. I finally had Leon come out to my house tonight he refused to give me my money back or replace it free of charge even after admitted my exterior lines of driveway, back patio are all messed up and wavy. Said he can't cut them either because then it would just break like it did in other spot but that he is willing to relay it all if I PAY another $2,000 for concrete. I said no thank you because I shouldn't have to pay another $2,000 because of your crappy job. It's not my fault that's his. He also told me it was MY job to make sure all the lines were straight not his... eh say what? Yeah what a good owner and project manager right there. I would never ever ever use him or recommend him. Straight from his mouth was "you get what you pay for" and "nothing in life is perfect ". 100% DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I reached out on fb under the concrete driveway and patio of Virginia Beach to only be written later today from someone who has access to the page saying they split ways with Leon because he didn't pay them. And screwed them over. Proof of email is in pictures. I also have a 45 minute video of Leon saying my driveway isn't straight edges , it's his mess up but yet refuses to pay back my money. With the video as proof we will be seeking legal action.
