Rens Nursery Retail

We used Rens to complete the finish grade/seed our lawn after building a new home on a one acre lot. I was overall very disappointed in the overall work that was completed. The lack of communication from the start concerned me (hey, we are all busy…I get it). I asked several times to do a walk through of our lot and talk about what the plan was going to be, but it never happened. The crew just randomly showed up and started working (we even had to point out where the lot lines were and some things we wanted done after they started). In the end, it was the end product that disappointed me the most. After adding topsoil, leveling some of the areas and then putting seed/straw down, there was still a significant amount of weeds left over after the job. Seed seems to be spread very inconsistently throughout our lot. They only used straw around our house and areas with high erosion…it was my expectation that straw would be used throughout. They even missed several areas of our lot completely, but did come back and complete those areas. The owner did offer apologies after I called him on this, but it seems to be a little too late, considering we were already a week into watering, and there was little to be done at that point. I was really looing forward to using them for other landscaping services, but I think we will be taking our future business elsewhere and recommending others elsewhere as well.
