My Experience: I spoke with Gerard the day before yesterday explaining that I needed some help moving a storage shed several feet from one side of my duplex to the other and to make a foundation underneath it. Getard told me that he would call me the following day and then stop by to assess the project. I neither got that call nor did he stop by as he said he would the next day. So I emailed him explaining that I needed to know whether he was going to come by or not so that I may contact another professional about my project if need be. He emailed me back and said his partner would come by the next day or he himself would. So, the next day I get a call and Gerard says he will stop by to take a look at my storage shed. When I met with him he took a look at my shed (it's a plastic shed about 83"x83" with a Nantucket style roof about 7 feet high.) The storage shed has snaps inside to snap or unsnap to put together and take apart. The bottom is a hard rubber that can be taken apart by a few screws. We looked at where the foundation needed to be - it's as I stated several feet away (about 30 feet). There's a bit of an incline where the grass is so a foot or two would need to be dug. Using maybe 4x6''s or even pallets would have sufficed to make the shed level. He suggested gravel. Then he told me that he would charge me Two-THOUSAND dollars for this job. When I looked at him and repeated this figure back to him with such bewilderment he said, "Well maybe I could do it for Fifteen-Hundred." I still was in shock. I live alone, I'm a woman, I live in a very poor part of Oregon City and I just can't do the job by myself. In any case, besides this, If he had declined the job fine, but I am well aware that he is trying to take incredible advantage of me. What an insulting crook.

He has never failed me in all the many years I have used his handyman services for my rental properties. I would recommend him for anyone who likes honesty and good quality work at a fair price.

We are a small condo org. (15 units). We have contracted with Gerard Brooks at least 6 years to do many projects, including dry rot replacement, interior rebuilds and caulking. Two years ago we hired him to be in charge of a project to replace the flooring on our common deck. This included demolition,co-ordinating with roofing company to replace membrane before putting down new flooring, moving a hot tub to make way for the new joists,hiring sub-contractors to install "timber-tek" flooring, selecting the material and disposing of all debris. We could not be more pleased with the work and the outcome. The condo org. then purchased new tables , chairs, lounges and new plants...We all use more than we ever did before.We are and will continue to use the services of Gerard Brooks Construction, LLC.
