  | Garage remodel | Jul 2014 | Turned old garage with old garage door, into nice play room. Walls have fire/Water/Sound Proof insulation. Added Six windows, and an air conditioning unit. Removed Garage Door and added a wall with two windows. Added antique lights with open ceiling. Floor is concrete, we laid a vapor barrier then Furring strips then laid 1x 6 pine on top and it has been polyunsaturated. Customer insisted on pine floor. I was skeptical, but it worked very well and still looks great. We added a wood burning stove and vented through the roof. We added a metal roof. We had to order new siding, but they didn't make that color anymore, we got the closest we could find and had to do the best we could. Customer did not want all new for cost effective reasons.
