Northwest Lodge | Jan 2012 | This home was built in 1985, a flat roofed Florida contemporary style. The owners wanted to update it with a Northwest lodge character. The exterior siding is a combination of stucco and local granite. At the back of the house is a large steel and concrete deck with tile flooring and glass rails that offers an amazing view. This home is ideal for entertaining, with a wet bar in the living room, a large dining table, and 12' wide glass doors that open from the dining room out onto the deck. The commercial kitchen features a Wolf gas range with a pot filler, a sub-zero refrigerator, two ovens and granite countertops, all under three skylights. The family room has custom cabinets with lots of display areas, a cozy gas fireplace in a granite surround and Tiger wood floors throughout. A custom steel electrostatic painted rail has a Tiger wood grab rail, and leads down to a family room with a wet bar and painted murals on the walls. | $1.2m | Bellevue, WA
Late Century Modern | Jan 2009 | This 22 year old Bellevue view house was completely updated with a contemporary flair throughout. Modern Contemporary | Jan 2008 | This new house was built near a slide area, and required 30 foot deep pilings to support the foundation. The contemporary design called for minimal trim, and used Sil-Leed panels, an imported cement board siding product, in combination with HardiBoard siding and pine soffits. Inside, all the floors are either hardwood or tile and trim is minimized. The finished steel stair railing is capped with hardwood to match the floor. The master bathroom has a combination tub and shower room. | $538k | Seattle, WA

Classic Seattle Brick | Jan 2005 | This classic Seattle brick home was built in 1927, and the remodel was designed by the architect who bought it and lives in it now. The new exterior is stucco, which harmonizes with the retained brick facade on the front. Some of the original features were saved in the living and dining room, and enhanced with the new design of the kitchen and family room. In the kitchen Meile appliances were set into custom bamboo cabinets and feature a built-in coffee maker/espresso machine. A gas range and sinks with the commercial faucets are set into the granite countertops. Custom cast glass tiles behind the range, and a large greenhouse window completes the light and airy feeling in this central room. The main floor bath has a carved stone vessel sink which sits on a wood slab countertop. Custom cabinets and closets with shoji screens were built for the bedroom and studio. | $580k | Seattle, WA
