This company was hired to do the framing for our house addition. Max and Justin appeared very young and we were worried that things would not be done right with what appeared to be a lack of experience. After giving them over 2 months to prove themselves, our suspicions were affirmed. For the first 1.5 months, they only showed up with one or two of them. To frame a 1500 sft addition. TWO PEOPLE. In addition, they did not show up until 11am, and were gone by 3pm the days they DID show up. Each week there were 2-3 days a week that they did not even show up at all. When we complained that the job was taking twice as long as they had told us, and that we were withholding any more funds until they caught up, they began bringing a third worker for the THREE days a week they still showed up. At times there was only ONE worker here! What does a framer expect to get done with one person??? After 2.5 months, they started slacking off again. Showing up with two workers, not showing up Friday, Monday or Tuesday. Again we told them if they did not get here and finish this project we would be forced to fire them and find another framing crew. Instead of doing what they should have, they told us they were not going to finish the job and stopped returning calls! In addition to the above, they left our site an absolutely mess. We had trash bags hanging all around the site but yet they left half filled coffee cups on our STONE KITCHENETTE where the bottoms rotted out and coffee spilled all over our patio. Their lunch trash got blown all over our yard to the point where my husband and I were outside for an hour chasing it around to make sure it didn’t get trapped in our woods. They also lied to us through their teeth when we overheard an argument between Justin and one of their own employees. The employee was telling Justin that the LVL and several other facets were not done correctly and that things needed to be ripped down and redone. He was saying over and over how they always cut corners and it’s not right. I recorded the entire conversation. So we walked outside to confront Justin. We asked him to STOP work until the next day when we could get an inspector out to verify things were ok. He told both of us that he needed to get our structure “dried in” and that was very important because the “nails are not galvanized and if they get wet, they will rust and snap and the entire structure will be compromised”. We asked why getting the structure “dried in” was not important over the past 2.5 MONTHS when they were barely working 20 hours a week here and leaving things sit for days “not dried in”. Justin’s response was that what he was doing that the employee felt was wrong would “not even be caught by an inspector”. What??? So now this company tells clients that they ARE NOT around things properly BUT arhat it would not be caught by the inspector??? The excuses why they could not come to our job were endless. Always placing blame on someone else. It honestly was like babysitting two children all day. Constant lies like my husband and I are too stupid to know the difference. These two have a LOT of maturing and growing up to do not to mention they need to accumulate much more experience before they screw over other customers. Stay away!!!
