70 year old small front steps brick stoop is collapsing on 2 sides because there's no footer - will be selling mom's 1950s house...I need a frugal solution just to make it structurally sound.
Construction material
cement slab on front door stoop top and sandstone step treads are fine...front step risers are brick, but they're shearing off...both SIDES are brick which is bowing and falling out.
Nature of repair work
I just need to do something to make it structurally sound...thinking maybe jacking up the slab a little and installing cement block on corners/sides...I can still do the mortar/paint German Smear type look on front and adhere mortar/some brick look on sides if the cement blocks are recessed slightly under slab.
