I've had a fair amount of work done to the home I've lived in for seven years now, but mostly "here-and-there" projects, such as hardwood floors or kitchen counters, fixtures and appliances...nothing top-to-bottom disruptive. One day last fall though I came home to a leaky ceiling (a leak from somewhere in the bathroom above my dining room was leaking into my dining room). Three plumbers and three different explanations later, all in tandem with an insurance company fight, I decided that it'd be best to just gut the master bathroom and the plumbing on the upper floor to take care of the problem for good. Since I already had a ceiling open, a bathroom to be gutted and some walls that were going to need opening up, I figured I'd let scope creep set in and have the interior of the house painted and re-stained top to bottom as well. In short, I'm glad I chose Murphy Brothers for the work. They were upfront with their pricing, completed the project within the timeframe promised, and were happy to accommodate my choices and guide me with some of the decision-making, specifically educating and explaining potential options to me without trying to steer me towards a particular solution. I was pleased with the end results, even though it was understandably disruptive to live in a house with significant work going on. The part that impressed me the most though was the quick follow-up and resolution of a few small warranty issues I had a few months after everything was complete - no charge, no hassle, and quick turnaround. They stand by their work.
