I got screwed by Preferred Home Builders. I had a signed contract with them and bought all the (thousands of dollars of flooring, tile, lights, fans, showers, baths, etc) materials for my project specific to their request and coordinated all this with them - even had some stuff expedited. 2 weeks after they were supposed to begin (with nearly no communication during those two weeks) I receive a call from them saying they're dropping out of the project due to it not being profitable for them. Meanwhile I'm here with thousands of dollars in materials I bought that they specified and preferred for their installation unable to return it and completely screwed by this company. Absolute waste of time and money. A mistake Preferred Home Builders made that they're choosing to make me pay for, instead of owning up to it. Absolutely blows my mind they feel okay about doing this. Also, if anybody has any legal advice for my situation, definitely happy to hear about that too.
