Daryn's Landscape

We contracted with Daryn to put in a fire pit area and create raised beds. It was a pretty good sized job, the quote was for $8,000. We submitted a 50% deposit to begin the work and we were to pay the balance at completion. Daryn and one of his workers came to the house a few times over the next 30 days and did approximately 16 hours of labor.. He would call and tell us he was coming but never show up. It was always one personal crisis after another. He finally admitted he had spent our deposit money on personal items and didn't have the resources to continue the project. In an attempt to keep the project going, we paid directly for rental equipment (which he used), and plants (that he did not plant). We soon realized this would be an extended ordeal with promises unmet daily, and with winter around the corner, finally had to cut our losses and advise Daryn to return a large portion of our money as he was able. Not one penny has been returned. We are starting legal action against Daryn and would advise anyone who thinks they want to use Daryn for a project to look for a professional company. (Don't be fooled by positive reviews...look closely and you'll see they were all submitted at the same time and repeat the same descriptive words).
