In 1973, Crystal Pools originated as result of a promise made by parents to their children. The children were being suddenly moved from New Jersey to South Carolina based on their father's decision to relocate to South Carolina. Consequently, the children were being forced to give up their prized possession, a beautiful in ground gunite swimming pool. The father promised them an even better one in South Carolina. Upon arriving in South Carolina, he discovered to his dismay, that the existing pool builders could not match, not to mention exceed, the quality of the family's previous pool. So he placed a call to the builder of the previous pool. That builder was, at that time, the world's largest pool builder, Anthony Pools. They offered to allow the father to purchase and use their proprietary filter, heater, pump, and cleaning system. In addition, provide instructions in the construction of quality gunite pools, thus to fulfill a promise, the father committed to become an authorized Anthony Equipment Dealer, and Crystal Pools was born. Since that beginning, Crystal Pools has built thousands of in ground gunite pools throughout the Carolinas and Georgia. Additionally, we have become an industry leader in innovative finishes, construction techniques, renovation, and concrete resurfacing. We have been at the forefront of the development of cleaning systems and presently hold the patents and have patents pending on cleaning systems, filtration systems, and safe cleaning main drains. As the years passed, one of those children became involved in the business. Many other young people that began their careers with Crystal Pools as laborers have now progressed to become skilled craftsmen, foremen, and supervisors, making Crystal Pools the established icon of pool builders in the Southeast.
