Jay Mercier Home Inspections is a sole proprietor company. I am the owner & sole inspector. I answer the phone, do the inspection, enter the report, take calls regarding home inspection issues. I am a 4th generation Mass licensed Plumber, injuring my back in a construction accident 6/24/04. Workers Comp Insurance directed me to the Home Inspection industry, I agreed seeing it as a way to be self employed. I worked for Tiger Home Inspection from 4/1/01 & left 5/31/12 to start my own Home Inspection business. I am currently at the 850 inspection count since going on my own. I enjoy conveying the message of the condition of the property, time of inspection, as well as providing information for future service work and how to take steps to avoid unnecessary expensive repairs.
