Creative Painting & Remodeling

Mr. James Forrest of Creative Paintings and resides in Elgin, was hired on or about Jan 6, 2018 to complete renovations to my newly purchased home for myself and my two special needs children. I paid half the agreed fee for his services and also paid additional payments due to additional damage caused by mold and or rotted wood and plumbing. After starting the job Mr. forrest advised me of a debilitating asthma condition which requires treatment 2-3 times a week after he had begun the renovations. He advised me he would have a crew working for him assisting him but this also wasn't the case, he merely had a young man helping him that could not do any renovations. He allowed him to paint and he botched the job terribly, painting directly over electrical outlets, and unable to paint without errors and painting the wrong areas. Throughout the process he did less and less work until he stopped the renovations all together and to this day May 2 2018 hasn't completed the tiling of two bathrooms and the kitchen which he left with multiple exposed electrical sockets, wiring, light fixtures hanging from their wires, half finished flooring and plumbing as well as lost parts to my appliances which were to be installed. I wasn't advised of his medical condition prior to the agreement for him to prove service, if I had been I would have never hired a severely asthmatic contractor to complete my renovations. He is a minister and active in the church which makes his actions and failure to be honorable in his business practices that much worse and deplorable.

Mr. James Forrest has severe breathing issues which he didnt disclose in advance and has to have mandatory treatments every week, never finished the work he was contracted to do, and left me a single mother with half finished work and NEVER refunded my money. He professes to be a honest christian man but his actions are criminal. He cannot do plumbing well left me with leaks and uses helpers that are inexperienced as well. He is not to be trusted and is not a person you want to hire.
