AJM Landscape Design Studio is a small residential landscape design and consulting firm located in Elk Grove, California. Founder Anthony J McClendon worked in various client relation management positions within the technology arena for 15 years before seeing the light. After undertaking a Horticulture and Landscape Design certificate program, Mr. McClendon started AJM Landscape Design Studio in 2003 (which includes it's first incarnation as WorldOne Land Design). However, AJM is also rooted in those long ago sun-filled saturdays mowing the lawn, weeding, and watering the garden; during a time when kids actually did yard work. AJM is guided by 2 basic principles: 1. Landscape design is creative problem solving; 2. Customer satisfaction is key to our success. What set AJM apart is that we begin and end with our client's vision. This commitment establishes a high comfort level that they are getting what is needed for their outdoor space. Technologies such as CAD, image rendering tools, and online collaboration software is used to facilitate the creation of the final product without losing focus on quality and service and passing savings on to the client. The final product is a high quality design that is essential to a successful landscape.

Front Yard Transformation II | Apr 2014 | Another client getting ahead of the curve and deciding to rip out the frontyard lawn area and replace with drought tolerant plant material as well create curb appeal with an inviting entry from the street | Carmichael, CA | ||
Front Yard Transformation II | Jun 2013 | Drought tolerant is the mantra here in California these days and this client is no exception. They wanted to remove the center lawn area and replace it with low water requirement plant material and pea gravel. As you can see from the after shots, they also updated the home's paint color which blends nicely with the retaining wall update. A relatively small project from a design perspective but major impact on curb appeal. | Sacramento, CA |
