Mark Herbert built his first house in 1978 and started Herbert Homes, Inc in 1984. The focus of the company, however, has always been and continues to be the building of quality, custom homes made affordable. Also, Herbert Homes, Inc is the Augusta GA Home Builders' senior member of the 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty Program, as well as one of the first local building companies to offer a standard written one-year warranty with walk-through inspections, new home orientations, a 60-day adjustment list and a 365-day adjustment list. Mark Herbert is on numerous local and state committees from hospitality to licensing. He has been the local president for the Builders Association of Metro Augusta twice, the president of the Home Builders Association of Georgia, as well as a National Director and committee member of the National Association of Home Builders. Mark has been voted the "Builder of the Year" through the Builders Association of Metro Augusta twice and the ultimate honor in the building industry, the Home Builders Association of Georgia's "Hall of Fame."
