Matt Peck signed my home inspection report, but never came to the property himself. His assistant did the inspection and repeatedly commented on how unusual it was he was on his own that day. I was in the attic to install a ceiling fan brace when I noticed the sagging roof with significant water damage below. The contractor I had out to bid the repair job advised me that it has been there for years and this absolutely should have been an item in the inspection report. It was not. Matt Peck never bothered to call. I was finally referred to the office manager who told got on the phone and told me “This is how it is…” She went on to explain that with all their loopholes in the terminology, they effectively absolve themselves of any liability whatsoever. No one will even come to look at it. The report was signed by Matt Peck whom I have never met. Surely you can do better.
