Concrete Contractor - Grain Valley, MO

Travis initially seemed like a good guy and talked the talk. He was prompt answering phone calls and gave me a reasonable bid. He wanted 50% down to get the job started, which I paid upon request. After payment and him not showing up when he stated he would, I called many a time with no response. After a few weeks I got a text from him stating he would be over, but he didn't show. I called a few more times, no response. He finally showed up and did a little grading and then disappeared again for a week, came back did a little more grading and layed out the drain pipe for the trench drain that was going to be in the driveway. A week later he texted me and stated that he needed me to buy the sub-base gravel as he didn't have the money for it. He leveled it out and framed up for concrete and then I didn't see or hear from him for about 8-9 days (won't return phone calls), and when he did show back up he poured the drive but left a nasty mess, including holes, wavy tooled lines, 1/2" thick slag, voids, and water marks. He put heat blankets down as it was going to be 23 deg that night. He stated he would be back the next day to clean up the mess up and put on cure, so I payed him his final amount. Didn't show up the next day and I called for a few days and he then showed up to get his blankets and forms, saying he would be back that afternoon to fix everything else. That has been weeks ago, and he will not return calls or texts. He abandoned his rental bobcat in my yard and after a couple of weeks I had to call the rental company to get it. They thought it as stolen. Without the cure on new concrete within 24 hours the American Concrete Institute states that the concrete will be brittle, no where near it's intended PSI, and will crack. I will most likely have to have this drive taken out and hauled away and get a competent contractor to do it right. Travis is not to be trusted, is lousy at his job and does inferior work. Worst contractor I have ever dealt with and I worked with many. Look at the pictures. I would wholeheartedly beg anyone to stay away and look elsewhere for concrete work. Also, there are some discrepancies on my charge card that I won't talk about yet until I verify what I believe happened. Just waiting for company to get back with me that applied the charges.
