Jimmy The Tile Guy Inc.

We hired Jimmy the Tile Guy (the real one from www.jimmythetileguy.com) to do our kitchen backsplash and 2 bathrooms including a shower remodel. He did an outstanding job for a very reasonable price (his estimate was roughly half the price of our other bids). We cannot recommend him enough! Very knowledgeable and easy to coordinate with. Five stars!!

In late May of 2017, I hired Jimmy The Tile Guy, Inc. (Jimmy Withers) to do a small flooring tile job of approximately 750 square feet. The contract price was approximately $2600. I paid him one-third of the contract price at the commencement of the job, which was expected to day 3 to 4 days. He picked up the tile and delivered same to the jobsite (for which we paid him an additional $150) and did the demolishment work required. On the second day of the job he had laid about one quarter to one third of the tile, but had not grouted. He then asked for another one third draw, supposedly so he could purchase more tile set (mortar). My wife indicated to him that she would come to the jobsite to discuss this because it was not part of the contract. She also told him that if he would tell her what kind of tile mortar he needed, she would pick some up on her way so that he could stay on the job. Evidently, Jimmy Withers took this as meaning that he would not get the draw he was demanding, so he packed up all his tools and walked off the job. We attempted to contact him via email and cell phone, but he refused to talk to us or give us any explanation whatsoever. In my opinion, Mr. Withers acted unprofessionally and childishly. Moreover, given his demands, we concluded that in our opinion he was not financially stable enough to trust.
