Pierce Grading & Hauling

I had a terrible experience with this so called company. I hired them to take down a house and do a rough grade of my property. The whole process in my opinion was shady. No contract or paperwork. The quote given was by job instead of hourly. Yet the price changed multiple times. I asked for a contract or at least a receipt for the 2,500.00 I paid them in cash before completion of the job. They took the house down and left a huge mess behind. There was no rough grade, the back porch that I was told had been taken off had actually been buried in the back under a bunch of dirt and huge trees they half knocked over and did not finish clearing. My property looks worse than it did with the house still there. Huge ruts were left, trash, porch and I now have to hire someone else to clean up their mess. I've never been done so wrong by any company before. They left the job undone and lied to me saying it was done and everything looked great. And to top it off they tried to physically fight my fiancee when we went to their business to let them know I wasn't satisfied. My mistake for trusting someone's word who doesn't even have an up to date graders license. Their bad for not doing the job as agreed. Money down the drain and only more money left to be paid to finish a job that they said they had completed. If your looking for a company to do grading, in my opinion and from my experience with them I WOULD NOT CHOOSE PIERCE GRADING. I mean really 1 of the only 2 other reviews is by the owner. That should have been MY first red flag, the lack of a current graders licenses, and refusal of a contract and paperwork would be my other reasons. But I made the mistake of not researching the company until after the fact. The pictures below are how my property looked when Pierce's left - This is the text I received that day from the Pierces when they left. "Hey mrs Blackwell we got everything took care of and grading out awesome and we will be in landrum now it started pouring rain down but we got her fine and dandy" I don't feel that this company has any business ethics whatsoever. Everyone has to work hard for their money and no one deserves to be from what I think conned out of their money as I was by this company.
