Siding/Windows/Plus | Jan 2013 | Remove clapboard siding trying to fall off house. Two French Wood Patio Doors that led to future deck were changed to Anderson 400 Series. The existing Bay Window was changed to Anderson 400 Series. All the siding was double 5" clap board Cypress with 3 1/2" Lineal trim around windows and doors. Garage overhead doors had 5" Lineal for a trim. Front Main Entrance has 7" Cedar Impressions Spruce. We did discover that the substrate had to be replaced on most of the walls (would not hold a nail). What I loved about this project was Nancy listened very well to all the options she had. We installed a housewrap called Dow Weather Mate Plus. All windows and doors have 6" Vycor Flexible Tape and Silicone caulking where needed. At the top of the siding we installed a Cornice Molding which makes the finish look great and holds up against wind removal. Nancy will gladly take calls for anyone interested in our superior workmanship. Just give Girarad a call and he will help you get in touch. | $42 | Greene, ME
Siding Remodel | Apr 2013 | Nancy received one of my Spring Discount Mail Post Card and asked me if we do siding. Even tho they threw it away I still gave them a $500.00 discount because it was still in the discount time period. We ended up installing Horizontal 5" Clap Board Siding Vinyl. Cypress Green for the main part and the front door and shed roof walls are 7" Cedar Impressions. Looks Great!! When we started the stripping we found why the cedar clap boards were falling off. The Plywood and OSB was compromised from water infiltration. Talked with the home owners and they agreed we need to remove all bad substrate and replace. When removed substrate we found that there was missing insulation and framing. Took care of it. They also asked us to remove a Bay Window Anderson and replace new (Looks great). They also had two French Wood Doors leading to the ground 12 feet below ouch. We removed them and installed two new Anderson Windows. This house is built with 2 walls for more insulation HMMM Ok. We did not do the facia with the substrate being an extra. They asked us to come back in the spring 2014. Nice! | Greene, ME
Kitchen Remodel | Jan 2013 | Took out old cabinets all sheetrock to be able to solve a lot of electrical problems. We also stripped the washer and dryer area. Moved some duct work around for new layout of kitchen. Finished floor with ceramic tile. Walls between upper and lower cabinets are finished with glass tile. All new paint and stain. Customers are happy. Granite countertops. We had to change second floor support. It was not correct. We added a 6"x 6" post at breakfast bar to hold second floor and stop the trampoline action which is Susan's sewing room. We then went into the cellar and added more support from the post to the cellar floor. NO MORE BOUNCE. | Lewiston, ME
Home Renovation | May 2011 | These Customers had Lowes & I go out there and try to figure how we could open their house up. I have to admit they were living like sardines. We came to a well planned out design that took about 6 months. They designed a beautiful kitchen to include an Island with a cook stove slide in. All draws and doors are soft close. No microwave over the stove, instead they ordered a cabinet that would take a counter top style. LED Strip Lighting under the cabinets!! Garage in the corner. Solid Quartz Counter Tops. The Island also has eating area with plenty of leg room. Electrical was interesting that we stopped a lot of breaker tripping and wired to code. Ceiling have about 15 new recess LED Lighting. Light switches and outlets in kitchen, living, dining and hallway. Dimmer switches. Cabinets also have a crown molding. Refrigerator needed deep wall panels so that you cannot see the sides. Did I mention new flooring Solid Bamboo /strand. Unbelievably hard wood but beautiful. They also asked us to finish stairs to front door. Nice!! | Augusta, ME
Kitchen Remodel | Apr 2011 | I met with Wanda and Lowes for a new kitchen to include lighting, flooring and trim. This kitchen design is pretty much the same foot print she had. But what a difference. The crown molding also had 3 more trims to make the effect that she wanted. Good job Wanda!! She had the sink pretrude 3" with two scrolled legs at the bottom. Garage with without the corner but finished with door panels and the living room side of peninsula has door panels. Installed Microwave over the range. Chair Rail half way up walls. New Floating Floors through living, dining, kitchen and hallway. Updated kitchen switches and outlets. LED Strip Lighting under cabinets. She even had us finish ceiling behind Valance where sink light is with matching wood. Awesome!! | Skowhegan, ME
Fascia Remodel | May 2014 | We're Back Removed all fascia so we could rebuild or add framing very much needed. We also remove old gutter and replaced new with a seamless gutter. Customer asked for a mason and she had a new chimney before we got there. Looks Great!! | Greene, ME |
