This was the worst experience I've ever had with a landlord from start to finish. Just DON'T DO IT! Save yourself the heart ache, but if you need to know more, here is a list of issues you can expect to experience, all of which I experienced in the one year I lived there. - leasing agent didn't know basic details of the unit, resulted in me needing to contact management three different times just to find out basic things like, which parking space was mine - day I moved in the unit flooded due to the roof not being sealed correctly when they did maintenance before we moved in (aka hole in the roof) - took a week to fix the hole issue - management company NEVER communicates what is going with maintenance issues - management requires 3 - 5 follow ups to get a maintenance request resolved - I had to do detective work to find the repair company, contact them myself, then tell the management company what needed to be done. (this situation happened multiple times with the hole in the roof, AC/heating unit, refrigerator, dishwasher, and pest control) - heater stopped working multiple times in the winter because it was not set up correctly - typical pests - - cockroaches - - mice/rats - - silverfish - management's solution to cockroaches was one spraying of Raid down the shower drain - had to put in multiple requests to get an exterminator out, who only sprayed the inside of our unit - no action taken after numerous noise complaints and parties that would go all night until 6am. parties could be heard down the street and took place in the unit above mine - water heater going out multiple times during the winter (if there is a cheap way to do something, this company found a cheaper way to do it) - unresponsive management to point of being ignored multiple times - water came up through the floor boards when it rained - unkempt washing and dryer room - trash everywhere all the time - dishwasher needed to be restarted from the circuit breaker, but management wouldn't tell me where the breaker was when i first moved in. They ordered me a new dishwasher instead - Refrigerator was new but it still broke and it took 2+ weeks for them to fix it. I had to manage all the repair people coming in the unit during COVID because GPK refused to do it and kept sending new refrigerator repair people into our unit. We went through three different repair personnel to find someone that could work with the refrigerator because GPK didn't know what kind of unit was in our apartment and kept sending the wrong companies - the maintenance team installed the water filter incorrectly an it caused a leak that froze the motor, fiasco - making demands of us and withholding security deposit for not meeting those demands even though they were not in the lease - - they wanted keys put in a drawer in the unit and we put the keys inside the unit, by the front door and they charged us for a whole set of keys because they were not in the drawer
