AC Custom Metal Work LLC

Very unfortunate experience with AC Custom Metal Work. In short, I caught the owner price gouging on his material costs, quoting me 100-500% more for Liftmaster gate equipment that I could readily obtain for thousands less elsewhere (e.g., I could purchase three remote operators for the price AC Custom quoted me for one, they quoted me almost $2000 more for the gate motor than retail prices elsewhere, etc.). I asked the owner for his justification for upcharging his material costs in this manner and he said something about extending his warranty to five years as the basis for inflating his prices to this degree. I requested he put his 5 year warranty in writing and he declined to do so. What's worse, I offered to have all the equipment delivered to my property, which would cost me $2600 less than he quoted, and he stopped communicating with me outright. I gave AC Custom Metal work every opportunity to fix their unethical business practices, and they refused. I feel a moral obligation to let other consumers know to expect price gouging on material costs from AC Custom Metal Work--do your research!
